Guided by Gentle Giants Mitsuyado Seimen | Miren Desserts Cafe  June 16, 2024 Celebrated Father's Day with the men who have loved me unconditionally—who consistently show what it means to have my back, to show up, and to simply be there whenever I need them. They are my constants, my protectors, and my biggest cheerleaders—even when I don’t ask them to be. I’m so thankful to have them in my life. Dear Lolo and Dad, You embody strength that comforts, patience that grounds, and love that never falters. You've taught me that fatherhood isn't just about presence—it's about deep care, quiet sacrifices, and unwavering loyalty. Thank you for leading our family with your hearts, and for being the foundation I can always return to. I love you both endlessly. _____________________________________________________________________________________ We had Japanese food for dinner, and Mitsuyado Seimen’s cozy ambiance made us feel like we were somewhere in Tokyo—(haven’t been to Jap...

The Night Had Other Plans

The Night Had Other Plans Lanai by Fresh Start | Seda Hotel | McDo-Lacson | La Jefa Club June 7, 2024 The day started slow, nothing particularly noteworthy—until the night crept in and filled my evening with unexpected moments and memories I didn’t know I needed. Even though my ex and I had already gone our separate ways, he invited me to dinner with his family at Lanai to celebrate his aunt’s birthday. As always, his family was warm and welcoming. We sang birthday songs, caught up over dinner, and snapped a few photos (which I’ll keep private for now). It was a light and heartfelt evening, and I truly hope Tita Michelle felt celebrated—because I did have fun being with them again, even in this new, unfamiliar context. After dinner, my ex dropped me off at Seda Hotel, where I waited for my cousins who were arriv...

One More Day with Em My Phaat Traditional Thai Foot and Body Massage Clinic | Quino's  Cafe | Art District | Miren Desserts Cafe | SM Bacolod | Gina's Seafood Restaurant | Landers Superstore June 6, 2024 Before Emmabelle heads back to Canada, we had one more day to make memories—and we made the most of it. I picked her up from her house, and our first stop was Quino’s Café for a light brunch. While eating, I gave her a few ideas for our mini "date." We ended up choosing the perfect flow: a relaxing art stroll at the Art District , a foot and body massage at My Phaat , and finally, dinner with the family at Gina’s Seafood Restaurant —our usual go-to for big family occasions. At the Art District , we wandered through installations and murals until we stepped into Orange Project , a local art gallery that always curates thought-provoking themes. The current exhibit was all about women empowerment , and the artworks were bold, expressive, and deeply moving. It felt p...
