A Long Day of Work and a Simple Reward

Megaworld, Bacolod City

April 11, 2024

Today was one of those long, nonstop hustle days—the kind where your body moves on autopilot while your brain is trying to catch up.

The agenda was packed: deliveries to complete, items to purchase, and canvassing to do across different locations. It was draining, to say the least—but also fulfilling in its own way. Every task ticked off the list brought a small sense of accomplishment, even if it came with aching feet and a tired back.

I definitely couldn’t have gotten through it all without Manong Hynes, our ever-reliable driver. He made sure we moved from one place to another safely and smoothly, even with the heavy traffic and back-to-back errands. No complaints, just quiet patience and consistent support the whole day. I really appreciate how he stays steady even when the day is anything but.

And of course, a big thank you to Tita Grace, who helped me carry the load—literally and emotionally. From checking the items to assisting with errands, she was always one step ahead. Her calm energy kept me grounded when I was starting to feel overwhelmed, and I’m so thankful to have someone like her with me.

After all the running around, we finally wrapped up the day with dinner at Megaworld’s food truck strip. There were so many tempting food options that it took us a while to decide. But curiosity won—we finally tried the chicken pastil that’s been all over local food pages lately. And let me just say… worth the hype! Flavorful, comforting, and perfect for tired souls like ours.

Since we were already in Bacolod, we took the chance to pick up my sisters from school, and they joined us for dinner. Sharing that meal with them, after a long day of work, felt like a quiet celebration. A reminder that at the end of all the chaos, what matters most is being with the people you love.

We headed home right after—full stomachs, full hearts, and a strong urge to collapse into bed. Finally… rest.

Grateful for the small joys today:
✅ Tasks completed
✅ Good food
✅ Family time
✅ And the kind of people who make hard days a little lighter.

'Til the next hustle.
