From Kubo to Kanto Singko
From Kubo to Kanto Singko
Kanto Singko
December 3, 2024
This place holds more than just concrete and stalls—it holds the memories of where it all began. This very spot was once where my parents built their first home together after getting married. It wasn’t grand—just a humble kubo. Back then, Daddy was starting out as a small-time businessman, and Mommy was working at a government agency.
And yes… I was technically made here! (TMI? Just a little 😂)
My sisters and I grew up hearing their stories—how they’d sleep with labadors between them when it rained, how bamboo shoots served as their coin banks, and slippers doubled as the hinges of their front gate. It might sound unbelievable today, but there was no regret in their voices when they shared it. Just joy. They often say that choosing to live away from their parents was the best decision they made—it gave them peace, freedom, and a chance to grow together without judgment.
That’s their story. And now, this is mine.
Another milestone unlocked in 2024: Kanto Singko is no longer just a dream—it’s now standing, alive with purpose and possibility.
This commercial space for food businesses stands right in front of a school—an ideal location to serve the everyday crowd of students and workers. It opens from early morning until late at night, offering a variety of meals for every craving and budget.
Launching this wasn't easy, especially since I’d only just wrapped up another major project not long ago. I still don’t know where I found the courage to jump into something this big again—but I did. And by the grace of God, it worked.
He gave me the vision.
He whispered the courage.
He made it possible.
This isn't just a business. This is a legacy built on love, grounded in humility, and fueled by faith.
