I’m now in my second year at Mapúa, and I’d like to think I’m finally getting the hang of it. When enrollment came around this term, I boldly enrolled in all the available units. I don’t even know what got into me—maybe confidence? Maybe chaos? Either way, I did it. I have a full plate, but there’s no turning back now.
So far, I’ve been managing—tasks are done on time, and some even finished earlier than the deadlines. I surprise myself sometimes. Working during the day and carrying a full academic load at night feels like a superhuman feat. Is this what “suffer now, enjoy later” really means?
Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoy what I do. It’s just that some days, everything gets overwhelming—and some days, everything flows just fine. It’s a strange, tiring, beautiful rhythm.
So if you ask me: "Kaya pa ba?"
I’ll say: "Kaya. At kakayanin pa."
To all the working students like me—Padayon.
A beautiful reward awaits us in the days ahead, I just know it. All our hard work will be worth it someday. We just need to pay the price now—with time, energy, and resilience.
Let me borrow something from my previous blog Progress:
“There is no perfect timeline for reaching the goal. What’s important is that we keep moving forward—pausing when needed, but never stopping.”
