Lunch Date with the OGs

Image
Lunch Date with the OGs Shakey's - SM Bacolod December 28, 2024 It's been very very long since I got to sit down and catch up with these people. Angela, Bianca, Jhasmine, Jason, and Ms Sheila made my high school bearable! We have so much memories back in high school and looking at us right now, on where we are now in life, I can see a really big difference. How we think and we act are now different, even how we talk and dress ourselves. These people are so so close to my heart and even though we don't communicate that often, we still find ourselves having a date at least once a year to update each other of the progress in our life. Here's to growth! 🥂

Party People

Party People Sixty Fifth | The Forth December 28, 2025 During the evening of 28, I went to the Sixty Fifth for the first party together with Benny, Chezka, and Chezka's friend, Shy. Actually, Benny and I were just dropping off the two girls there since the party was hosted by their batch. Benny and I just stayed in the car and slept for a while to regain the energy we have lost during the day, when it was already midnight we went to the rooftop to call my sister and her friends so that we can transfer to the next party.  When we got to the second party in The Fort, I saw familiar faces. Friends that are studying in Manila were also home in Bacolod! We danced, talked, hugged, and even shed a few tears! It was a nice year ender. I love how the party went but I would not rather talk more of the details here! 👀

Gathering

Gathering Home December 23, 2024 We always have an annual Christmas party for our angels. All of their immediate family members are invited on this day. Everyone have gifts to receive, even their children and spouses. This moment was magical! It was exhausting to plan and execute but all my effort were worth it, seeing them enjoy what I have prepared for them. The program went so smoothly and the food we prepared was more than enough. I ended the night with a speech that made everyone tear up, including myself! I am so thankful for this family!!

Lunch Date with Tita Gemma

Image
Lunch Date with Tita Gemma D' Gazebo December 20, 2024 Unplanned trips are the one that always pushes through. On a friday, mom asked me if I was available so that I can drive her and tita Gemma for a lunch date - I said yes. I went to pick them up from their office together with Chezka. At first, we didn't even have a place in mind for us to eat lunch but then mom remembered that daddy brought her somewhere in Pontevedra -- so that's where we went. Mom was the one who ordered food for me and Chezka. It was tita Gemma's treat so we were a bit hesitant and shy. Tita Gemma offered more food to order to the point that she even ordered a whole Crispy Pata only to be devoured by us four! Thank you for the early Christmas treat, tita Gem! 🥰

Pause

Image
Pause Home December 18, 2024 I feel tired today. Aside from the mental load, my body is sore from driving from one appointment to the other. BUT I put in mind that this is what I've been praying for. This is how I will be achieving my dreams. This is God directing me, pushing me, and giving me a chance to achieve what I want in life.  When at some point things get too overwhelming, I just pause and thank God because this is what I prayed for!

A Mentor

A Mentor El Ideal | Gracia's Restorante | Calea Pastries & Coffee December 16, 2024 Today is a slow and productive Monday. I did a little work at the office today and left tasks to be done for the day since I have a scheduled lunch appointment with Auntie Stella, a businesswoman, and Tito Noel, a retired Philippine Navy.  Around 10:30AM , I began to get ready for the lunch date. I met them at El Ideal in Silay City after Lolo Brian toured them to some nearby churches. There, they ate  batchoy  and toasted bread. When they finished their meal, we went directly to Gracias since I had  reserved a table there.  On our way to Gracias, Auntie Stella rode with me while Tito Noel rode with Lolo Brian and his driver. There was never a dull moment with Auntie Stella. She talked about her business and her life when she was young and how she managed to be successful and happy.  We ate lunch, and the food in Gracias never fails every time I went there. Busine...

A Mountain of Blessing

Image
A Mountain of Blessing Office December 14, 2024 The last time I've received these plenty of stocks was during the pandemic. If I remember well, my bedroom view was covered with boxes of stocks to be delivered the next day! It was great while it lasted.  2024 isn't a good year for me, but it did came with surprises. Unexpected transactions came my way which led to this mountain of blessing. This might not be that big of an achievement to someone else, but this is the best I can do and I'm happy and proud of it. Having this is not easy, dealing with this is no joke! All the headaches, sleepless nights, and stresses cannot comprehend how much I worked hard to achieve this.  Although I did my part, I would also like to thank those people behind me who helped me reach to this point: my angels (employees), and my family. Special thanks to my God as well for this is not possible if it is not His will!

Arroz

Image
Arroz Bantayan Park December 12, 2024 I went for a morning walk today! Together with me is my cousin, Cypress, I call her manang Jel. It's a usual day for us as we usually walk in the morning until daddy called and invited us for breakfast. For breakfast, we had arroz caldo with egg. Since I don't usually eat breakfast early in the morning, I cannot finish one serving so I opted to bring it with me as we decided that it is time to go home (I still have work that day) on our way home, I'm glad I brought my left overs since I found a stray dog who seems very hungry, right then and there he got his first meal of the day! How fascinating it is that in some circumstances in life there are things we're neglecting that actually has a great impact to others. To us, it might not be a big deal but to others we might even save their lives.

Kanto Singko

Image
Kanto Singko Kanto Singko December 3, 2024 This area is where my parents lived when they were married. It was only a kubo, wherein daddy was a small time businessman and mommy was still working from a previous government agency. I was made here! (oopsie TMI 🤣)  My parents tell us (my sisters and I) stories that they used to sleep with labadors in between them when it rains, bamboo shoots as  alkansiya , and slippers as their gate's hinges. They had no regret living in that humble home. They said that it was better that they separated from their parent's household and live alone together, in that way they may be able to express themselves freely without malicious glances. Life was peaceful, simple, and humble. This story serves as their humble beginning. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Another milestone for year 2024! Kanto Singko isn't just a concept anymore. It took a lo...

Cheer Dance 2024 Champion: House of Cody!

Image
Cheer Dance 2024 Champion: House of Cody! University of St. La Salle - Bacolod December 2, 2025 Proud is an understatement!  I used to laugh at my mom whenever she talks about how loudly she cheers when I have dance competition, but now I CAN RELATE! I was cheering loudly for Chenna, my youngest sister. She is very passionate and talented when it comes to dancing! I love how her confidence increased as time passes by. Their batch's overall performance led them to be champions, overshadowing the higher batch! There was no biases since their performance showed how disciplined their batch is and how well they executed everything. While they were praying in the chapel, I bought her a bouquet to celebrate her win! She deserves it so much for all the effort she had extracted for how many weeks of training.  -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Manang loves you so much, Chennaboo!
