Kissing January Good Bye!

Image
Kissing January Good Bye! Timi & Thomas | Office January 30, 2024 My day started at the office, leaving the angels with tasks to accomplish for the day. I went to bacolod to get some stocks and to issue a check. When I was on my way back to the office, I remembered that I haven't eaten any meal and it was already past noon, I passed by my dad's building and decided to eat lunch at Timi & Thomas, I had cheese sticks, beef salpicao, and iced milk. I was really full after that meal! When I arrived at the office, work had already piled up and I got into it right away. The clocked turned 5, and it is closing time for our office already, though for me I stayed until 10PM! I had to finish my school outputs that day so that I won't be missing out in my weekly tasks. I didn't know where I get this courage: most of my outputs I opted out to do it individually than with a group so I had to deal with my actions!! GRR life happens, bye January -- what's in store for me...

Yayay Sabel's 75th Birthday

Image
Yayay Sabel's 75th Birthday Office  January 20, 2025 Yayay doesn't know that we have prepared something special for her birthday. My staff loves Yayay so dearly. We surprised her with a cake and a birthday song that led her into tears.  You are so loved by many, Yay! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- During my younger years, Yayay was already there for me. She used to be very present in my life, especially when it comes to my dancing career.  I remember when I was still studying in Taytung during my kindergarten she was the one in charge to bring me to school, carrying all my school stuff, gym bag, and a very large water jug! She is a superhero in my eyes. She'll wait for me every dismissal. Her face is the first I seek when I go out of our classroom, it is a relief to always know that she is just there waiting for me. The day won't end there, we'll commute our way to th...

Mom's Golden Birthday

Image
Mom's Golden Birthday Palm Fairway Club January 14, 2025 I've always got big plans for Mom's 50th birthday. We all know that all momma's deserve the best! I wanted to host a grand birthday celebration and surprise her with people close to her heart. Some of her friends even mentioned helping out, even though I had this plan only in my head (maybe telepathy's work when you love the same person 🤣) But none of what I planned happened. Only then did I know that Mom wouldn't want these grand gestures, she just wanted an intimate dinner and to spend time with those she loved most.  All along I was just exhausting myself when I could've just asked her what she really wanted (but that wouldn't be a surprise anymore, wouldn't it? Haha) For me, a simple dinner would not be enough to appreciate her on that special day -- I just reminded myself that it is HER day and she gets to decide what she wants to do. On January 14, she was at  peace . She could relax e...

Kaya Pa Ba?

Image
Kaya Pa Ba? Home January 13, 2025 It's already been my second year studying in Mapua and I'm already getting the hang of it. I was so confident when this term's enrollment was due to enroll all available units! I don't know what has gotten into me. I already have a lot in my plate but I ended up doing it anyway! There's no turning back now that I'm here and starting my school works. So far, so good. Tasks are done on time and some are even done earlier than the due dates! Gosh! I don't know how I'm doing it. Working during the day and being a full load student at night. Is this what "suffer now, enjoy later" means? Don't get me wrong, I'm still having fun doing these things it's just that some days it gets overwhelming and some days are just as fine as day.  If you'll ask me if "Kaya pa ba?", my response would be "Kaya, at kakayanin pa!" ----------------------------------------------------------------------...

Sleep Deprived

Sleep Deprived Kanto Singko January 9, 2025 After lunch on a Thursday, I went to Kanto Singko to inspect some minor renovations and installation of infographics. I invited dad to come with me since I am not an expert especially on critical details with construction, my opinions are more on the aesthetic side 🤪  The food the tenants were preparing were drool worthy. I ordered a hotdog sandwich and a matcha drink, even though I just ate lunch! I can say that it was a nice day since daddy opted to pay for my meal. Yay! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- January is the starting point of the year, but it doesn't determine how the whole year would be. Right? My heart has been very heavy lately. I thought I'll be leaving behind the baggages of 2024 but instead I am still carrying its weight to this year. When can I be genuinely happy again? The kind of happy that doesn't worry that som...

Cebu Diaries: Day 2 - Mountains, Meals, and Meaningful Views

Image
Cebu Diaries: Day 2 - Mountains, Meals, and Meaningful Views Cebu City January 2, 2025 Our second day was all about climbing higher—literally and figuratively. We spent the whole day up in the mountains, soaking in the fresh air, indulging in great food, and letting the breathtaking views reset our tired minds and full hearts. We started with a visit to TOPS Viewing Deck . It’s always a favorite of mine. Standing there, with the wind brushing against your face and the whole city stretched out beneath you, it makes you feel small in the best way possible. It's like the mountain is gently reminding you to slow down, breathe, and just be present. The contrast between the rawness of nature and the carefully built city below never fails to amaze me. It’s one of the things I love most about Cebu—that perfect blend of God's untouched creation and man's ambition and creativity. For lunch, we headed to Garden of Soul Sierra . The ambiance was so calming, and the food? Chef’s kiss ...

Cebu Diaries: Day 1 – Food, Family, and a Full Heart

Image
Cebu Diaries: Day 1 - Food, Family, and a Full Heart Cebu City January 1, 2025 Cebu feels like my third home, right after Dumaguete City. Even though we don’t own any property in either place, they’ve somehow managed to own a big piece of my heart. Escaping reality for a bit felt so refreshing. Being able to spend time with my family, enjoy great food, and share moments of laughter—there’s honestly nothing better. I feel incredibly grateful that I’m able to treat them to experiences like this. Seeing their smiles makes all the long days and sleepless nights of work feel so worth it. It's a reminder of why I do what I do—and it definitely pushes me to work even harder this year. Day 1 Highlights: First Stop: Brumini Resort, Oslob. We had breakfast here to fuel up before heading to the city proper.  Second Stop: Simala Shrine, Cebu. I’ve visited before—maybe my second or third time?—but each visit feels just as humbling and soul-refreshing. There’s something about ...
